While snowed in at the rural farmhouse where they lived near Donegal, Ontario, Colin and Heidi heard an announcement on the radio that the National Screen Institute was seeking submissions for a national amateur short film contest. The top 12 films would be screened in Winnipeg at their National film Exchange Canadian Film festival. That same day during the snowstorn, which had yet to subside, they shot all the raw footage for their debut film A Traditional Canadian Folkdance. The film made the cut and the couple were put up in the lovely Fort Garry Hotel and had the chance to see the first cinematic effort they had made screen on March 6th 2004.
Plot Outline: A man with a mission endures the frigid elements of a harsh Canadian winter day. Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do, or so they say.
