Just a quick update to mention a "Gopher Wood" facebook group to help with finding the right cast and crew, to raise awareness, and finally to help raise funds about the movie. now I've been suckered into the Andromeda Strain on A & E so I'm gonna go relax and tune out to that. Thanks to everyone!
Gopher Wood Casting and Crew call
The film that was being laboured upon under the title "A Groaning boy Needs his Lunch" has morphed and became "Gopher wood". The script for this new masterpiece was completed over last weekend and we are looking for the people that will make it happen on the screen and behind the scenes now! The original intent of this film was to be a remake/sequel to Breakfast of Imbeciles. It is neither of these things. Like Breakfast of Imbeciles it is a nod to genre films of the past but it also deals with themes such as Religion, Resurrection, Hillbilly Moonshine, Following Your Dreams, Dark Hidden Secrets, and Pagan Celebrations. Another new store bringing you DVDs, downloads, rentals of indies, classics and blockbusters!
I have went ahead and set up another DVD store based on the 2 degrees of sepereation theme working my way outward from Colin and Heidi .This one is American based so it will probably service all of the people from outside of Canada a little better. There does seem to be more selection but the thing I like most about it is the fact that man yof the movies are available for download with the option of renting for $2.99 or purchasing for $9.99. This cuts out the packaging which is incentive for all you people who don't want to screw the earth up much more than we already are and the rental fee of $2.99 allows those who are a little more experimental to try out some movies they might not be 100% sure about buying. Well, go ahead and CHECK IT OUT!

There was another update that somehow got lost in a technical gliche that our server must have had. Hmmmm. note to self....keep an eye on that! So anyways I'm working on updating the website but I've also had far too many sick days recently which really makes you go little bit bonkers. I will finishing the updates on the movies, Cast, Composer and Crew very soon I think but I sort of lost my direction today and ended up playing a 2 degees of seperation game from the imdb listings for Colin and Heidi Burrowes and I was flabergasted by the number of blockbusters and the number of tiny indie films that two degrees connected them to so I made this DVD MEGASTORE featuring all the movies that were available presently at Amazon.ca Even if you aren't interested in online shopping it's kind of an interesting and somewhat inspiring list letting you know just how many people you can hook up with if you just get off your ass and do it. Colin and Heidi started with a video camera just like the one you probably have lnked to your computer right now. Yes i do include the crew whereas the people who play "Six degrees of Kevin Bacon" only use the cast but I would love to see a film get finished without a crew.

Oh yes! I'm sure you notice those ugly paypal buttons asking for donations around this place, well, if you donate more than $5 you will get a special thanks credit on the next film we complete. We can't always guarantee that you'll get a imdb.com credit but you might and you are helping out up and coming artists so what the heck huh? It's April 26th and I'm finally making a new update. Colin spent some time in Florida helping to make the film A+ which will hopefully see release around January '09.
The best way for me to describe A+ is to use the official summary so here it is and I quote, "Alex Feller is at the top of his class. He's got the girl of his dreams. His future couldn't look brighter. But unlike his privileged classmates at Juniper College, Alex is poor as dirt, and comes from a hard-working family. And when his scholarship money runs out, Alex is reduced to borrowing money from his mentor and professor, Dr. Samuel Dotson. But when Irwin Marsh, a wealthy and popular (but morally bankrupt) classmate, solicits Alex to write his term paper for him for cash, Irwin simultaneously hands Alex what might be the solution to his financial problems, as Alex soon discovers that his richer and less academic classmates will pay hundreds for the same service. What starts out as a means to some "easy money" quickly spirals into a campus-wide paper mill, as word gets out about Alex's new "service." Alex soon discovers a newfound power among his peers, admiration from the beautiful female coeds who once ignored him--and a brand new sports car. But Alex is finding that his pleasures come at a price, as his relationship with his girlfriend crumbles, and his hope for a better future slips away before his eyes-after one of his clients gets caught."
So there you have it. I will let you know how post-production is moving as I am updated.
Heidi is hard at work on a short which has the potential to be part of a bigger whole involving Paulo Coelho's novel "The experimental Witch". There is more time to get involved so check out details right here!
Today and tomorrow some of our movies are for sale as part of a local Art Studio Tour. Short notice, I know but if you happen to be in the Listowel or Palmerston area over the weekend drop by Brighid's Well and say Hi to Heidi and buy some movies.
I will hopefully have a chance to do some updating of this site over the next day or 2.

Valentine's Day '08
We really haven't been to on the ball with updates here but there is quite a bit going on with Dura Mater Productions and our aquaintances. In fact the only real updating was because of one of our actors from Breakfast of Imbeciles who went on to bigger and better acting gigs. Another one of the Breakfast Of Imbeciles alumni is making a film later this year north of Toronto. More details to come because I 'll have to go digging for them right now and Colin is back to America in march to do Assisant director work on a film called A+ which we will try to keep you up to date with as well.
